Marie Curie Brain Game Fundraiser Fundraising for charities and community projects is important to us... so we were honoured to support Marie Curie once again at their latest Brain Game in London. The Brain Game fundraiser event managed to raise a grand total of £322,659 for the Marie Curie Nursing Service, which will fund 16,000 hours of specialist nursing care. Host Sarah Beeny was joined on the night by quizmasters AJ & Curtis Pritchard, Simon McCoy, Simon Calder and Mark Clemmit, with a virtual appearance from James Martin. Greenbelt sponsored the Live Auction, run by auctioneer and TV presenter Jonny Gould. The highlight, Ben Mosley’s magnificent artwork, sold for £43,000. “Greenbelt’s quiz team managed to score 43 points,” said Greenbelt MD Colin Thomson, “but congratulations must go to overall winners Wedlake Bell who became Housebuilder Brain Game champions for the first time with a score of 47. “As well as supporting events such as the Brain Game, Greenbelt organise individual, company-wide and community fundraising projects. “We have also pledged more than £20,000 for Marie Curie each year: enough to help fund a community nurse for 12 months.” Whether you’re living with illness or caring for someone who is, Marie Curie is there to help with practical advice and, of course, emotional support.
