During April we’ve been marking Stress Awareness Month because we think mental health should be taken seriously.
That’s why members of our team will also be taking part in the St Andrew’s Mental Health First Aid course at their training centre in Cowcaddens in Glasgow.
Developed by MHFA Scotland, this two-day course qualifies candidates as mental health First Aiders.
Anyone taking part has the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of what mental health really is and learn about all of the factors that can affect our wellbeing.
The course also teaches practical skills to allow First Aiders to spot the signs of mental illness – this should give them the confidence and know-how to step in and support a person who needs our help.
