What We Do: SuDS meeting the experts

When members of the Hamilton Residents’ Association wanted to learn more about our Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in their area, we were more than happy to set up a meeting with SuDS expert Neil Berwick, of Abertay University’s Urban Water Technology Centre.

Our North Hamilton development features the largest and most complex SuDS of any location Greenbelt manages, which is already used by Neil for hands-on training in the establishment, maintenance and inspection of SuDS.

Our Community Liaison Team was able to set up the informal lecture with Neil for those interested in learning more about SuDS’ composition and role in the local environment.

This reflects Greenbelt’s commitment to industry-leading land management doesn’t end with its stewardship of land and open spaces.

SuDs are just one example of a careful and sustainable approach to land management -they offer a biodiverse environment and protect homes from flooding and relax insurers.

Our Community Liaison Team continues to enjoy a close working relationship with Hamilton Residents’ Association.

Can we help your project?
