Today marks the 26th annual World Water Day, a special day set up by the United Nations to highlight the importance of clean, fresh water in all of our lives, worldwide.
Did you know this is Veggie Month? Organised by Animal Aid, this wonderful celebration takes place every March.
And to help mark this year’s event in style – and in the best possible taste – here are Greenbelt’s three of the best garden greats for growing, harvesting and eating.
With wintry winds and flurries of frost falling on the nation, the look and character of our neighbourhoods and open spaces can change dramatically over even just a few hours.
It’s completely free for schools to apply to take part in the Green Plan-It Challenge or the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening – all you have to do is follow the instructions here, and apply under one of the nine listed regional hubs.
Greenbelt recently took part in the Campaign for School Gardening’s ‘Green Plan-It’ challenge, an annual educational event organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
School pupils aged 11-19 are eligible to sign up for the challenge – which involves working in teams to research and design an innovative garden or green space for their school or local community.
We’re proud to announce Greenbelt has taken part in the ‘Green Plan-It’ challenge, part of the Campaign for School Gardening, led by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
