Greenbelt welcomes new residents!
We would like to extend a warm Greenbelt welcome to all of our new residents following the billing for the month of June.
Residents of Cheesecake Farm, Sandringham Gardens, Tove Grange, Brookdale and Fox’s Fold have all joined the Greenbelt family this June, as well as the addition of new units to our existing site in High Rigg.
The 526 new households billed in June bring our total Greenspace maintenance roster to 44,000 households over 491 sites across the UK.
Sandringham Gardens is our featured site this month, showcasing a mix of amenity grass and sustainable wildflower meadow areas, ensuring residents have access to functional grass areas appropriate for children and pets in addition to the more aesthetic meadow sections and specimen trees which promote wildlife in the area.
Like many of our new developments, Sandringham Gardens also features our Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS), which mix traditional drainage systems with landscaping techniques and structures to provide a sustainable, environmentally-sound solution to rainfall and flooding.
SUDS are a series of interconnected ponds, basins, tanks and vegetated systems designed to retain excess water and filter out sediment before a controlled release back into waterways, meaning they improve local water quality in addition to reducing the risk of flooding.
