As Storm Gareth hits the UK, four Met Office yellow weather warnings have been put in place between now and Friday.
Gusting winds of up to 60mph were recorded this morning and these could reach 80mph on northern coasts.
Gareth is the third storm to be named this year, after Erik and Freya.
Heavy rain has already hit parts of the UK and the storm – currently off the west of Scotland – is due to bring two spells of strong winds.
These are expected to affect many areas, starting in Northern Ireland before moving into Scotland later today then northern England and Wales overnight into tomorrow.
Our teams will remain vigilant to any issues, while our office staff will be monitoring the situation in Greenbelt developments across the UK.
Please remember that, in the first instance, emergency services will always deal with potentially dangerous situations for the public.
However, where it is safe to do so, we do carry out remedial works as soon as possible.
