It’s completely free for schools to apply to take part in the Green Plan-It Challenge or the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening – all you have to do is follow the instructions here, and apply under one of the nine listed regional hubs.
Applicant schools will be issued with a complementary welcome pack containing seeds, plant labels, stickers, posters and more.
Additional learning resources (including lesson plans, information sheets and practical activities) are also free to download here, even for those who don’t enter the challenge.
Each school can register up to three teams, completely free of charge – the only thing schools are required to provide is transport to the launch event and final prizegiving ceremony.
Alternatively – if you have a background in the horticultural industry – you can volunteer as a mentor here and get involved with next year’s challenge!
