Storm Deirdre Weather Warning

As Storm Deirdre hits the UK, forecasters have escalated weather warnings for extreme wintry conditions.

Snow and freezing rain are expected to create dangerous travelling conditions in Scotland and Northern England.

An amber alert issued today warns of freezing rain and prolonged heavy snow and potential blizzard conditions.

Northern Ireland, meanwhile, will continue to be battered by the storm amid a warning for gales and heavy rain.

The Met Office warnings are due to remain in place until Sunday morning.

Our teams will remain vigilant to any issues, while our office staff will be monitoring the situation in Greenbelt developments across the UK.
